Hair Removal Treatments
Laser and IPL hair removal both work on the same principle. That is that light energy is absorbed by areas of high pigment such as hairs, which are therefore heated up. The main difference between IPL and laser hair removal devices is the light source used.
Permanent hair reduction
Laser hair removal is one of the most sought after methods of removing your excess or unwanted hair.
N;d yag permanent hair removal
At our clinic we use the Cutera Cool Glide ND YAG 1064 Laser technology which is the first laser to ever master treating all skin tones and sensitive skin. With this particular machine we are able to adjust the settings to any skin type.
We understand that many Black women, Latino women, Indian women and Middle Eastern women with darker skin might be sceptical about laser hair removal as using the wrong laser can often cause burning or scarring; however our ND YAG is safe and FDA approved, so you have nothing to worry about. We have a high success rating when it comes to our Laser Hair Removal for Black Skin.
IPL hair removal
IPL, or intense pulsed light, hair removal is a method of removing bodily hair using focused light, and is one of the most effective methods available of permanent hair reduction. How effective the IPL treatment is will depend on a number of factors, such as the colour of the skin and hair.
Electrolysis hair removal
Electrolysis treats each hair follicle individually with a very fine, disposable, sterile probe to permanently destroy the follicle’s ability to reproduce, thereby eradicating hair growth on completion of the course of treatment.
Waxing is a method of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from the root. The effects last for between 2-6 weeks – depending on the individuals rate of hair growth, the time of year and how long you have been having the area waxed.
Warm wax is applied to the skin in a thin layer. The hair becomes embedded in the wax and a strip is applied and then pulled off quickly, in the opposite direction of the hair growth, taking the hair with it.
